Older people in Jammu and Kashmir who have limited financial support can apply for Old Age Pension under the Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Social Security Scheme (JK-ISSS).

What Happens After Applying?
The application is processed under the Social Welfare Department’s pension service.

What Happens When the Beneficiary Reaches the Next Age Group?
The pension amount changes when the beneficiary moves into the next age bracket.
Under Government Order No. 96-JK(SWD) of 2025, a pensioner enters the next age group from the month in which the required age is reached. The enhanced pension for the new age group is applicable from the following month.
For example, a beneficiary moving from the 55–59 age group into the 60–79 group will move to the higher pension rate according to this rule.
